What 80 bilion SMS in a year!!!??
KUALA LUMPUR - Handphone users in this country send about 80 bilion short message service (SMS) and multimedia message service (MMS) last year, increase fourfold contrasting year 2008.
According to rough calculation, if average charge service imposed was 20 cents for each delivery, mean those already spent more RM16 billion for SMS and MMS.
Timbalan Menteri Penerangan, Komunikasi dan Kebudayaan, Datuk Joseph Salang Gandum said, phones users carry should not worry SMS content and MMS them monitored because secrecy and personal rights level regular customer protected.
"Telecommunications company do not keep SMS content, MMS or video call customer.
"They keep only log transaction during 12 month for bill production objective if be dispute,'' clear it when replying Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan's question (BN-Kota Eel) in Dewan Rakyat yesterday.
